The SJPL Rhodes Scholarships 2024 in the United Kingdom are now accepting applications. This scholarship was established to help promising students from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine attend Oxford University in the United Kingdom to work toward a Master’s or Doctorate Degree. The 2024-2015 Academic Year’s Fully Funded Scholarships are shown below. It is recommended that students apply for this grant.
The Rhodes Scholarship was established by Cecil Rhodes (1853-1902) to honor academic achievement on a global scale. The Rhodes Trust oversees the program.

Criteria for Eligibility:
- Applicants from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine are welcome.
- On October 1, 2023, your age must be one of the following:
- You need to have been born between October 2, 1999 and October 1, 2005 (that is, you need to be at least 18 years old). OR (for mature applicants who started their formal education later than most)
- You must not be older than 27 (i.e., be born after 1 October 1996) and have completed, or expect to complete, the requirements for a bachelor’s degree by 1 October 2022.
- You must have earned a Bachelor’s degree with a First Class or minimum GPA of 3.70 out of 4.0 (or equivalent) (or expect to do so by June/July 2024). The prerequisites for your desired Oxford course may be even more stringent, so read the course description carefully. Candidates that are chosen frequently place in the upper tiers of their respective graduating classes.
- You need to have a high enough level of English to satisfy the University of Oxford’s English language competence standards (at the Higher Level specified).
